The Waterfront Hut Staff assists the overall provision of services, policies, and programs for Visit Palm Beach (VPB) including the waterfront activities and booking tours and excursions for partners in our Retail Waterfront Hut. The candidate will be ultimately responsible for the follow-through of proper paperwork procedures, opening/closing duties and certain events & activities including cash handling and check-in process for various waterfront excursions.
The candidate will be expected to possess the tenacity, creativity, flexibility, leadership, and commitment that is necessary to build the service and sales of VPB and meet or exceed targets. This position will be focused on helping to maintain procedures, information management, sales, providing proactive guest service and providing written and verbal communication regarding implementation of customer service and sales initiatives. Ensure guest satisfaction, prompt response to all inquiries and customer requests.
The job requires a very active and professional outlook. You may have to work some extra hours, plan the next day’s work, be an example to employees, dress as per the company’s rules and exude confidence. You must carry out the importance of team work to the members of the team and work in tandem with them, and the Manager.
Must Have :
Proficient in Microsoft programs — Excel, Word
Outgoing and able to approach Visitors and Guests —
Somewhat familiar with West Palm Beach and or Palm Beach County
Able to anticipate Managers needs and take initiative to complete tasks
Make sure daily procedures are carried out
Leader — Someone that others look up to
Maintain effective communication and feedback with Manager
Flexible with working WEEKENDS, some nights, holidays, inside and outdoors, and at special eventsIdeal candidate is very passionate about West Palm Beach, teachable, has a very positive attitude and loves to engage with people! Spanish speaking a plus!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 – $18.00 per hour
